In an eye-catching game of Group B on Saturday night, the defending champions Shanghai SIPG came back to defeat Beijing Guoan 2-1, putting an end to the opponent's undefeated record this season.
Over1,900 fans were allowed to attend the game. In the 14th minute, Cedric Bakambu scored first for Beijing thanks to the assist by Wang Gang. However, Beijing's lead only lasted for 14 minutes. Shanghai passed the ball into the penalty area via a free-kick before unguarded Wang Shenchao made it 1-1 for his team with a header.
