Global COVID-19 deaths surpass 800,000: JHU

The global death toll of COVID-19 pandemic has surpassed 800,000, with the total number of infections reaching nearly 23 million, according to data released by Johns Hopkins University on Saturday. 

The United States is still the country registering the most deaths due to the pandemic, followed by Brazil and Mexico.
