Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for efforts to integrate the Yangtze River Delta. He made the comment during a symposium held on Thursday in Hefei, the capital city of east China's Anhui Province. Xi said the Yangtze River Delta should lead China's technological and industrial innovations, and support the country's high-quality development. The Chinese president also called for efforts to improve the business environment in line with world-class standards and attract professionals and enterprises from China and abroad. He said promoting trade and facilitating investment can turn the delta region into an important link between international and domestic markets.
