Medical exhibitors have gathered in Beijing ahead of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).

Firms specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) have exchanged knowledge and ideas on the use of technology, global supply chains, and how TCM has contributed to the fight against COVID-19.

Over 100 medical companies are set to join this year's exhibition, including Chinese Medical Sciences, the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and the Beijing Tong Ren Tang Group.

Activities will be held both on-site and virtually. The 2020 CIFTIS will become an important opportunity to promote the international development of Chinese medicine and better serve all mankind.

TCM services will make full use of this high-standard international platform to promote this fair.

"During the 2020 CIFTIS, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission will hold a forum with the International Health Exchange and Cooperation Center for talks on cooperation and trade. The theme will be 'gathering the world's wisdom in epidemic prevention and fighting global disease,'" said Zheng Jinpu, inspector of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission.

Yin Weidong, CEO from Sinovac Biotech Ltd., said, "Our vaccines were mainly sold locally in the past few years. We will take advantage of COVID-19 vaccine development to offer our technology and products to the world for future use."
