182 farm workers contract COVID-19 in north Italy

About 182 workers at a large meat company farm in northern Italy’s Treviso province tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, La Repubblica reported. All cases are reported to be asymptomatic and quarantined.

Testing of the farm's remaining 140 workers will also be completed in the coming days. The local government has decided that the farm would not be shut down. However, measures such as reducing production by 50 percent, keeping a safe distance between workstations and reducing the number of workers on duty to deal with the epidemic will be taken.
