Putin says Russia will have second COVID-19 vaccine in September

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday the second COVID-19 vaccine will be available soon in September, according to RIA Novosti news agency.

Earlier on August 11, the country registered the world's first vaccine against the novel coronavirus.

Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said the first vaccine, after passing all necessary checks, showed that it forms a stable immunity.
