Authorities in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region are urging the U.S. to revoke the latest sanctions on Chinese officials and a prominent government organization in the region. Washington has imposed sanctions alleging human rights abuses. But Xinjiang officials dismissed the claims at a regular briefing on Thursday.
