Dalian Professional, one of the only two winless teams in the Chinese Super League (CSL) this season (the other are Tianjin TEDA), finally got their first win on Saturday night after edging past Shandong Luneng 1-0.

One could tell how desperate Dalian had been for victory: They almost drove each one of Shandong's players back to their own field with their offensive waves. However, their efforts did not bring any goal back in the first hour of the game.

Under-23 young man Lin Liangming became the game-changer. In the 62nd minute, Sun Po's smart pass reached Lin in the right of the goal area. Instead of trapping or chesting it, Lin made a gentle push that drove the ball into Shandong's net. Dalian led 1-0.

In the following 30 minutes, it almost took Dalian everything to keep their lead which they did in the end. Shandong watched their four-straight-win record come to an end.

Separately, Shenzhen F.C. defeated Guangzhou R&F 2-0 in a CSL game on Saturday night, pocketing seven points in three games. Shenzhen's young midfielder Dai Weijun scored his first goal in the CSL. In the 26th minute, Dai stole the ball from Guangzhou's defenders and broke into the box using his speed. Though he did not have the best angle against the goal, the 21-year-old broke the opponents' net with a fast low shot, helping Shenzhen lead 1-0.

Renatinho scored a goal in the 86th minute for Guangzhou but it was cancelled by the referee who made the decision after checking the video assistant referee (VAR). Guangzhou's misfortune did not end there. Seven minutes later, Xu Yang scored the second goal for Shenzhen.

At the end of the game, Guangzhou's Mousa Dembele was ejected after committing a brutal foul. The red card almost led to a clash between the two teams.
