China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival 2020 will launch in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, on September 24, according to the news conference in Beijing Saturday.

The 35th Hundred Flowers Awards, which is part of the festival, is co-sponsored by The China Film Association (CFA), China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC), and Zhengzhou Municipal Government, and its award ceremony will be held on September 26. 

Chinese actor Liu Haoran is the ambassador of the film festival. Hit movies including school bullying and teenage crime drama "Better Days," animated film "Nezha," sci-fi film "The Wandering Earth" are nominated for the best picture.

Other nominated movies are real-life drama "Dying to Survive" and patriotism blockbuster "My People, My Country."
