00:41

South Korea is tightening social distancing restrictions in the greater capital area around Seoul. Phase 2 restrictions - the second-highest level - will be extended for at least another week. And tightened measures will be imposed for eight days, starting on Sunday. Businesses that cannot operate contact-free are required to close. Restaurants and bakeries can only offer delivery or take-out services from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. And gyms and after-school academies have been ordered to shut down. South Korea has reported a daily increase of about 300 cases over the past 10 days, most of them in the Seoul metropolitan area.
