Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for efforts to build a united, civilized and socialist Tibet. He made the comments at the Central Symposium on Tibet Work. Xi said efforts should be made to maintain stability in Tibet, protect national unity and fight against separatism. The Chinese president also urged officials to improve people's lives, maintain a good environment and ensure border security. He also stressed the role of the Communist Party of China in making policies on governing Tibet.
