Hong Kong schools to resume face-to-face classes from September 23

Hong Kong schools can resume face-to-face classes in two phases on a half-day basis from September 23, said Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, secretary for education of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government on Monday, following the drop in the number of new COVID-19 cases in the city.

Students entering Form 1, Form 5, Form 6, Primary 1, Primary 5 and Primary 6, as well as senior kindergarten pupils, will return to school from September 23, said Yeung.

They would be followed on September 29 by pupils from Form 2 to Form 4, Primary 2 to Primary 4, and other kindergartners, Yeung told a press conference on Monday.
