Hong Kong is launching its citywide Universal Community Testing Program on September 1, aiming to offer free COVID-19 tests to all Hong Kong residents.

There are a total of 141 testing centers across the city's 18 districts, with 70 percent of the centers fully booked for the first day.  

The Chinese mainland has also sent a batch of testing experts to help tackle the spread of COVID-19 in the city.
