Great wildebeest migration: A journey with many dangers
02:48

Wildebeest and zebras are the dominant inhabitants of Kenya's Maasai Mara. Around July each year, these animals migrate north from the Serengeti plains in search of fresh pasture, and return to the south around October. Every year, thousands of wildebeest and zebras die during the strenuous and dangerous migration because of hunger, thirst, weakness or predators.
