2020 Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly agreed to extend their contracts with head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach through 2025, according to NFL Network and ESPN.

Having won their first Super Bowl championship in 50 years, the Chiefs are eyeing long-term success and therefore have been busy keeping their core staff. The team gave a 10-year, 503 million U.S. dollar deal to quarterback Patrick Mahomes; they extended the contract of defensive tackle Chris Jones by another four years for 85 million; meanwhile tight end Travis Kelce signed a four-year, 57.25-million new deal.

Now it's the turn for coach Reid and GM Veach.

Since he joined the Chiefs in 2013, Reid led the team to achieve 77 wins out of 112 regular season games. The team made the playoffs as leader of the American League West four times. Reid has always been seen as one of the best offensive coaches in the league and he was only one Super Bowl championship away from being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. When the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers at the 31-20 at Hard Rock Stadium on February 2, Reid finally had one of those titles under his name. It seems as though he will be collecting more with Mahomes, Jones and Kelce in the future.

"One of the great things about this job is when you look forward to coming to work and to deal with the players and coaches. I'm lucky enough to be around good players and coaches. (Mahomes) makes it even better. He has a unique ability with what he does with his teammates. The 'Honey Badger' (Tyrann Mathieu) was part of this, too. Both of those two guys make our jobs very enjoyable. I come to work and have two great leaders like that, along with other players who love to play the game. Listen, if it takes me into my 70s, then let's roll," said Reid.

42-year-old Veach is about to meet the fourth season as the Chiefs' general manager. He helped the team build a champion squad to win the Super Bowl and helped keep most of them. Meanwhile, Veach never stopped thinking how to make the Chiefs even stronger.

"We're very lucky to have Brett as part of our organization. He's done an amazing job over last three years of taking a really good roster and turning it into a championship roster, and I think it's a roster now that's going to have a chance for multiple years to be a contender for the Super Bowl. He's done an outstanding job. He works extremely well with Coach Reid, he also has a great rapport with our players, so he's somebody that we want here for the long term," said Clark Hunt, chairman of the Chiefs.
