President Xi attends commemoration of 75th anniversary of war victory

September 3 marks the anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War and this year, China celebrates the 75th anniversary. On Thursday morning, Chinese President Xi Jinping and others senior officials attended a commemoration in which they presented flower baskets to martyrs at the Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, in Beijing.

At 10 a.m., a military band played the Chinese national anthem, the "March of the Volunteers" and all the participants sang along to the rhythm.

Veterans, family members of martyrs and representatives from all walks of life also attended the commemoration.
