Hong Kong extends universal COVID-19 testing program for 4 days
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government on Friday announced the extension of the Universal Community Testing Program (UCTP) for four days, until next Friday, to meet residents' demand.
The government said 19 of the 141 testing centers will stop operating on September 7, while the other 122 centers will continue to run and accept reservations.
The mass COVID-19 screening program, which started on September 1, has received 917,000 registrations from HKSAR residents. About 521,000 people have been tested.
