Almost 1 million HK residents register for universal coronavirus testing program

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's (HKSAR) universal community COVID-19 testing program has received about 978,000 registrations as of 8 a.m. Saturday, local media reported.

Up till Friday night, 650,000 residents have been tested under the screening plan.

The HKSAR on Friday announced the extension of the program for four more days to September 11.
