India's COVID-19 cases surpass 4 million

India's COVID-19 case tally surpassed four million on Saturday, reaching 4,023,179 after 86,432 new cases were found, confirmed the health ministry's data.

According to the same data, the country recorded 1,089 new deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 69,561.

As of Saturday morning, 3,107,223 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
