Hidden in a valley of arid mountains in harsh environment, Bulenggou Village of the Dongxiang Autonomous County, northwest China's Gansu Province was once a remote place with water shortage and no paved road to the outside world. But things have changed since Chinese President Xi Jinping made a stop at the village during his inspection visit in Gansu in 2013.
