M6.4 earthquake strikes Ovalle, Chile

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck 46 km northwest of Ovalle, Chile at 1:16 a.m. on Sunday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The epicenter, at a depth of 27.2 km, was initially determined to be at 30.33 degrees south latitude and 71.59 degrees west longitude.

There are no immediate reports of damage.
