China has been demonstrating respect for science and the spirit of innovation in the battle against COVID-19, which has exemplified the character of the Chinese people to seek truth and explore new frontiers of knowledge, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday.
He made the remarks when addressing a Beijing ceremony to award outstanding individuals and organizations in China's fight against COVID-19.
