India reports 95,735 new COVID-19 cases in highest daily spike 

India has recorded the highest daily increase of 95,735 new COVID-19 cases, according to the country's health ministry on Thursday.

India is now the second worst-hit country in the world, behind the United States. The total number of infections in India now stands at 4.46 million, with the death toll at 75,062, the latest tally showed.
