Chinese mainland reports 15 new COVID-19 cases, all from overseas

The Chinese mainland registered 15 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, all from overseas, the country's health authorities said on Friday.

This is the 26th consecutive day without domestic transmissions on the Chinese mainland.

No deaths from the disease were reported on the mainland on Thursday while 19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 85,168 and the death toll at 4,634, with 311 asymptomatic patients under medical observation.

The total confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 4,913 (4,582 recoveries, 99 deaths)

Macao: 46 (46 recoveries)

Taiwan: 496 (475 recoveries, 7 deaths)
