Israel's total number of confirmed cases surged to 145,526 on Thursday, with 4,429 new infections. The daily fatalities also set a record with 23 new deaths, which raised the death toll to 1,077. Corona Cabinet has decided to impose full nationwide closure starting next week, which will be the first stage in a three-stage plan aimed to lower the morbidity data.

France reported 9,843 new cases with 19 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the national total of confirmed cases to 353,944 and death toll to 30,813. President Emmanuel Macron said he would announce new measures on Friday to contain the epidemic resurgence while allowing people to live as normal as possible.

Italy recorded on Thursday 974 new infections and ten more deaths over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 283,180 and death toll to 35,587. The president of the SSC Napoli soccer team Aurelio De Laurentiis tested positive.

Morocco confirmed 1,889 new cases and 38 deaths on Thursday, raising the national tally of infections to 79,767 and the death toll to 1,491. The government decided on Wednesday to extend the health emergency state for the sixth time until October 10.

UK reported 2,929 new cases and 14 new deaths in the past 24 hours, putting the total at 358,138 cases and 41,608 deaths. Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday announced a tightening of social distancing rules by banning social gatherings of more than six people in England in a bid to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Germany's total number of confirmed cases increased by 1,484 to 256,850, and death toll rose by one to 9,342, data from Robert Koch Institute (RKI) showed on Friday.

India reported another record daily jump of 96,551 cases on Friday, taking its caseload to 4.5 million. Meanwhile, 1,209 people have died from coronavirus, taking the total to 76,271.
