The first direct charter flight from the U.S. to Beijing since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic has landed in China, The American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham China) said on Sunday.
"History is made as AmCham China's Back to Work Charter Flight becomes the first charter flight from the U.S. to fly directly into Beijing since COVID-19 began," AmCham China said in a Twitter post.
A total of 87 passengers flew directly into Beijing from San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
The flight is also the first multi-company charter flight to fly from anywhere into the Chinese capital, AmCham China said.
