Live: Ailik Lake in Xinjiang – A pearl of the Gobi Desert EP2

Ailik Lake, located 16 kilometers southeast of Karamay Devil City in Xinjiang, is formed by the Baiyang River. "Ailik" means "yogurt" in Mongolian. It is the only lake in Karamay that has been in existence for at least 1,300 years. The lake district has breathtaking scenery with shimmering water, reeds, fish, yellow sheep, trees and farmlands. Together, they constitute a natural lake landscape in the desert, which is also known as a "pearl of the Gobi Desert."
