New Zealand to extend COVID-19 restrictions in Auckland by a week

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced on Monday to extend current COVID-19 restrictions in Auckland by a week. 

Ardern extended a lockdown in the country's biggest city on August 14 in response to the first national coronavirus outbreak in months. 

New Zealand has reported 1,797 infections, with 24 deaths so far.
