The Frontline – The story of doctors and their families a world apart

Updated 2020.09.14 14:16 GMT+8

Doctors and nurses in Wuhan working on the frontline kept their distance from their families, avoiding any risk of infecting their loved ones. This meant that doctor Lyu Qingquan, who worked in one of Wuhan's main hospitals, did not see his wife or son for three months. As he slept in a small office next to the hospital, his son used a pair of binoculars to look down from their apartment balcony. And though he never could see his father clearly, it was his way of showing support and pride.

This is one of several stories that goes beyond the tragic effects of the coronavirus, and shows how love and compassion were never lost.
