Hong Kong reports 9 new COVID-19 cases

China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Thursday reported nine new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, of which six are local infections, according to the Center for Health Protection (CHP).

No new deaths from the disease were reported in the region, said the CHP.

Given the improvement in the situation of the epidemic, a makeshift hospital at the AsiaWorld-Expo, which had been actively receiving patients, will be put on standby from Friday, the CHP added.
