The Chinese mainland registered 32 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, all from overseas, the National Health Commission said on Friday.

This is the 33rd consecutive day without domestic transmissions on the Chinese mainland. No deaths from the disease were reported while eight patients were discharged from hospitals.

Chinq's total number of confirmed cases stands at 85,255 and the death toll at 4,634, while 366 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

The total confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 4,993 (4,682 recoveries, 102 deaths)

Macao: 46 (46 recoveries)

Taiwan: 503 (478 recoveries, 7 deaths)
