Melting of Greenland’s ice sheet hit a record high in 2019 with 532 billion tons melting away during the year, according to a recent study published by Communications Earth and Environment, a journal from Nature Research, in its August edition. The report found the country lost twice as much ice in 2019 compared to 2013.
