Russia reports 6,065 new COVID-19 cases, total at 1,097,251

Russia has recorded 6,065 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to official data released on Saturday, the first time the daily tally has been higher than 6,000 in two months. The total number of confirmed cases is now 1,097,251, and the total death toll rose by 144 to 19,339. 

Russia will resume flights with Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan from September 21 and with South Korea from September 27, Russia's coronavirus crisis center said in a statement on Friday, adding that the weekly flights will operate in both directions.
