China's Ministry of Education has rolled out policies to help Chinese overseas students during the pandemic. It's encouraging the students to finish their courses online as organized by their universities. The policies make it clear this alternative learning won't affect their degrees. The ministry has also allowed existing educational exchange programs between China and overseas institutions to accept more students. Meanwhile, authorities are strengthening communication with overseas education departments to address students' concerns. So what advice can we give to students who are still hoping to pursue higher education overseas? How much will these policies help ease Chinese overseas students' problems and concerns during the pandemic?
