A naval base of the Southern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) recently conducted an underwater anti-mine warfare exercise. Multiple minesweepers and minehunter ships were put to the test against underwater mines planted to block a water passage. The mines could detonate under magnetic or acoustic influences from the vessels. The drill involved rapidly removing these mines and clearing the way. Mines were successfully removed, allowing the navy fleet to pass safely.
