Gaojiahu Wetland Park, located in Barkol Kazakh Autonomous County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has the most intact wetland ecosystem in eastern Xinjiang. Surrounded by the Tianshan Mountains, it is like a shining pearl inlaid in the basin. Mountain ridges, winding rivers, flocks of wild geese and swans, and a vast expanse of grassland and wetland constitute a beautiful landscape, attracting a large number of visitors every year.
