Going it alone every time when problems arise is an old-fashioned approach in today's world. It was what brought about the Great Depression of the 1930s. In our interdependent world, we're all connected and multilateralism should not only be saved, it must be enhanced. COVID-19's lesson is that we need to cooperate, especially in times of emergencies like today.
