The Chinese mainland registered seven new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, all from overseas, the National Health Commission said on Thursday.
This is the 39th consecutive day without domestic transmissions on the Chinese mainland. No deaths were reported while eight patients were discharged from hospitals.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 85,314 and the death toll at 4,634 on the Chinese mainland, while 402 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.
The total confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:
Hong Kong: 5,049 (4,749 recoveries, 104 deaths)
Macao: 46 (46 recoveries)
Taiwan: 509 (480 recoveries, 7 deaths)
