The media registration system for the upcoming third China International Import Expo (CIIE) was launched on Thursday. 

Registration will be open till October 20 and media can register online via WeChat, CIIE App and the CIIE official website www.ciie.org. 

Allowing for pandemic prevention and control, the third CIIE will mainly invite domestic media and foreign reporters based on the Chinese mainland as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions.

The third CIIE will be held in Shanghai between November 5 and 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai. 

The second CIIE in 2019 concluded with 71.13 billion U.S. dollars worth of tentative deals reached for one-year purchases of goods and services. 

A total of 181 countries, regions and international organizations attended the expo, and more than 3,800 enterprises participated in the exhibitions. 

The CIIE is the first dedicated import exhibition in the world and has seen fruitful outcomes in the past two expos.
