With the Tokyo Olympics postponed and many other major international gymnastics events canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chinese gymnasts are taking advantage of the extra time to train harder. Participating in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart last year without winning gold was a bitter experience, but Chinese athletes are undeterred. Instead, the extension of their winter training camp this year is giving them the opportunity to tackle shortcomings and refine skills. Confidence is increasing as these young men and women dream big for Tokyo in 2021.
