Qingdao completes nearly 140,000 nucleic acid tests, all negative

Qingdao has tested 139,658 people, including common contacts, community screening patients and relevant employees, for the nucleic acid of COVID-19 after two workers at the Qingdao Port recorded as asymptomatic cases on Friday, and all the test results were negative, local authorities said on Saturday.

A total of 209 close contacts had been detected in the east China city, which serum antibody test results were all negative, and all of them were quarantined under observation. A total of 232 close contacts have been identified, all of whom have been quarantined for observation, and all tested negative for nucleic acid.

Local authorities collected 26,589 samples of cold chain products and environmental samples, and 21,271 nucleic acid tests have been taken. Only 51 positive samples of imported cold chain products handled by the two workers were detected. This batch of imported products has been sealed up and thus not entered the market.
