CSL highlights on Sep. 27: Shenhua to meet SIPG in 'Shanghai Derby'

Shanghai Shenhua defeated Henan Jianye 2-0 in their last game in the first stage of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday. Bi Jinhao scored both goals for Shenhua.

Bi used to play for Jianye before he joined Shenhua. In the 24th minute, he received a smart pass from Peng Xinli right in front of the goal area and broke Jianye's net with a brilliant volley, helping Shenhua lead 1-0.

Then in the 40th minute, Jianye's Ma Xingyu failed to clear the ball out in the box, and Bi got the ball and scored his second goal by sweeping it into Jianye's goal.

Thanks to Sunday's win, Shenhua locked the fourth place in Group A and will make the championship group. Their first rival will be the defending champion Shanghai SIPG.

Jiangsu kick Shenzhen out of championship competition

Jiangsu Suning edged over Shenzhen F.C. 1-0, surpassing Shandong Luneng to rank No. 2 in Group A. That means Shandong will have to meet the higher-ranking team from Group B in the coming championship. Meanwhile, Shenzhen failed to enter the championship group. The only thing they will be fighting for is the right to stay in the top league.

In the 25th minute, Jiangsu's Li Ang was tackled down in the box. The referee gave Jiangsu a penalty kick, and Alex Teixeira made it, scoring the only goal of the game for Suning.

In the other two CSL games on Sunday, Shandong and Guangzhou R&F finished with a 0-0 draw. Guangzhou Evergrande beat Dalian Professional 1-0.
