China has sent a team of medical experts to Lesotho and Angola to help the two countries battle COVID-19, Wang Wenbin, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Sunday.

Formed by China's National Health Commission, the team comprises experts from central China's Hubei Province.

The team departed from China early Sunday morning, Wang said.
