Fernando Lucas Martins bagged a brace in Beijing Guoan's 4-0 victory against Shijiazhuang Ever Bright in Suzhou, east China’s Jiangsu Province, as the first stage of the Chinese Super League concluded on Monday. 

Fernando opened the scoring for Guoan in the 17th minute, as he sent Zhang Yuning's pinpoint through ball into the top-left corner. 

Cedric Bakambu scored the second with a stunning strike in the 27th minute after a goal was disallowed for offside. 

Fernando doubled his tally with an unstoppable volley in the 74th minute. In stoppage time, Ba Dun scored his first goal in the CSL this year and made it a 4-0 victory against Shijiazhuang. 

Guoan will continue to be in the Suzhou division and compete with seven other clubs for the CSL championship this year. The team's first opponent will be Shandong Luneng, who ranked third in the Dalian division in the first stage. As the second phase of the CSL adopts a two-round knockout system, the two sides will play their first match on October 17. 

Shijiazhuang will go to the Dalian division, where the relegation competition is held. Their first opponent is Dalian Pro, coached by Spaniard Rafael Benitez. 

In other games, Chongqing Lifan scored their sixth consecutive win by stunning group leader, 10-man Shanghai SIPG, 1-0, to rank third in the group. Tianjin Teda extended their winless run after a goalless draw with Wuhan Zall, while Hebei China Fortune defeated Qingdao Huanghai 3-1.  

The first match of the championship group will take place on October 16, with this season's CSL champions to be crowned on November 12.
