Chinese mainland reports 21 new COVID-19 cases, all from overseas

The Chinese mainland registered 21 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, all from overseas, the National Health Commission said on Monday.

This is the 43rd consecutive day without domestic transmissions reported on the Chinese mainland. No deaths linked with the coronavirus were reported on Monday while 12 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 85,372 with a death toll of 4,634, while 367 asymptomatic patients are currently under medical observation.

The total confirmed infections in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 5,065 (4,786 recoveries, 105 deaths)  

Macao: 46 (46 recoveries)  

Taiwan: 510 (480 recoveries, 7 deaths)
