A rare turtle species was spotted at the Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve in east China's Zhejiang Province. Called the big-headed turtle, it is under second-class state protection in China.

The species hasn't been seen in the area for 30 years. The big-headed turtle is an endangered species found in China and Southeast Asia. It can climb over obstacles in and around water bodies, using its tail as a prop to extend the reach of its strong claws.
