Former Ukraine president Poroshenko contracts coronavirus

Former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko has contracted the novel coronavirus, he said in a statement on Facebook on Tuesday.

"Therefore, from today I am being treated at home. I hope for a speedy recovery and urge all Ukrainians to take care of themselves," he said.

He also confirmed the news on his Twitter account that his test result came out positive and he's being treated at home.

Poroshenko, 55, was Ukrainian president from 2014 to 2019.
