There are protests in many parts of India after the alleged murder and gang-rape of a 19-year-old woman from the lowest social caste on Tuesday. Police in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh say they found no traces of sperm and have ruled out rape. But protesters say police forced the cremation of the victim's body the day after the attack, without her family's permission. The four alleged attackers from a higher caste remain in custody in the district of Hathras.
