U.S. VP Pence and wife test negative for COVID-19

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and his wife have tested negative for COVID-19, according to his press secretary.

"As has been routine for months, Vice President Pence is tested for COVID-19 every day. This morning, Vice President Pence and the Second Lady tested negative for COVID-19. Vice President Pence remains in good health and wishes the Trumps well in their recovery," Devin O'Malley, the vice president's spokesman, said on Twitter.

Shortly following the vice president, U.S. secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin's spokesperson also confirmed Mnuchin tested negative for coronavirus Friday morning.

"As part of regular protocols, Secretary @stevenmnuchin1 has been tested daily for COVID-19. He tested negative for COVID-19 this morning and will continue to be tested daily," Treasury spokeswoman Monica Crowley said on Twitter.
