Set up by Wang Weili in Beijing in 2005, Xinmu Cinema, since then, has screened more than 800 films for over 25,000 visual impaired people with the support of some 9,000 volunteers. Such screenings allow China's estimated over 12 million blind and partially-sighted people to enjoy the silver screen by listening to the narration made by volunteers. This is part of the barrier-free services for the country's visual impaired people.
